Railtuck's database of cafes is organised in a Microsoft Access database, with each cafe linked to one of Britain's thousands of railway or underground stations, or tram stops. But rather than providing a simple search for a given station stop, the database is organised in such a way that you can find exactly the information you want based on the journey you wish to make.
At the top of each page on the railtuck web site is a drop-down menu to allow you to choose the region of the country you wish to search. Once you have made your choice and clicked the submit button, the second drop-down menu offers you featured lines within that region that you can use to refine your search.
Clicking submit on the second search then lists all the eateries near stations on the line you have selected... the clever database design means that, if a station is on more than one of the lines available, the same establishments near that station will be amongst the choices, even though there is only one entry for each of them on the database.
