ABOUT RAILTUCK

Railtuck, the unique source for information about cafes and restaurants near stations, is based upon the experience of thousands of rail travellers from throughout the UK.

Our database of eating establishments has grown from the recommendations of members of railfuture - the campaigning and lobbying group dedicated to increasing the use of our rail network.

We plan to include more cafes and restaurants for the small fee of £15 per year - £5 of which goes directly to helping railfuture in their aims.

Recommendations from railfuture members will receive at least one year's free subscription to our database - and if you want your favourite cafe featured here, why not join railfuture to ensure their entry - while other establishments are invited to add their details.

If you run an eating place within walking distance of any rail, tram or underground station and would like to be included on our site, please e-mail or write to us for more details.

Railtuck was conceived from an original idea by Ray King, vice chairman of rail campaigning group railfuture.

Ray recognised that many people travel the rail network for pleasure, and would welcome a source of information that would help them decide where to stop and eat on their travels.

Deltic Computers, which supports railfuture by providing IT support, web space and design, was happy to help realise Ray's dream. Deltic Computers hosts this web site, as well as drawing in the design skills of its associate companies, netmark.co.uk - a specialist in custom-designed web sites - and Deltic Design - who provide bespoke database solutions for businesses large and small.
